History
Although a freshly born company, Totally Legit Productions comes from a long and vibrant path of theatre experience with a love of all things theatre and is run by one enthusiastic, high energy team! The company has dedicated its efforts to providing paid theatre opportunities to the Ottawa community.
Meaghan and Jean Francois met and fell in love while performing in Niagara Falls’ long running production of Oh Canada Eh?! while Michelle also sprouted some OCE roots assisting in theatre day camps at the Niagara location. The team has spent much of their childhood and adult lives in various community and paid professional theatre productions, both on stage and behind the scenes directing, choreographing, and assisting with the exciting art of bringing shows to life.
It was a natural next step to launch a dinner theatre here in Ottawa that promotes the amazing & overwhelming amount of talent that Ottawa has to offer! What a great way for this theatre loving team to collaborate together investing their hearts, minds and souls into the day-to-day creation of “totally legit” productions!
Our meal includes garden salad, fresh bread, delicious pea soup, roasted chicken, mouth watering fried fish, roast beef, roasted vegetables and potatoes and a delicious slice of cake for dessert. Coffee and hot tea are included in your ticket price. Please inform us of any allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of booking!

Maria is no stranger to small business and has an insatiable appetite for live theatre, family and community. Opening a family-operated, totally legit theatre company in the Nation’s Capital was a natural evolution. The company is blessed with a family of quirky, dramatic and talented young entrepreneurs AND the desire to fuse a family-oriented business with community enhancing opportunities & customer-delight. Totally Legit Productions is fuelled by passion & persistence and will be a staple in the menu of entertainment that Ottawa has to offer for years to come!
A Montreal native, JF spent 10 years as a performer across Canada before moving on to the restaurant business, where he has spent the last 5 years as a successful front-of-house manager. Being able to mix both passions and blend them into one is a dream come true, especially in a family run company such as Totally Legit Productions. His guest driven approach and sense of community & family will help him thrive and hopefully bring theatre opportunities to the Ottawa Valley for years to come!
A graduate of the Randolph Academy in Toronto, Meaghan is no stranger to the stage, performing in shows all over Canada. She has also spent an ample amount of time behind the scenes directing and choreographing numerous shows.
Michelle brings both on stage and behind the scenes experience to the team. Graduating with diplomas in Advertising, Marketing & Communications and more recently Event Management, Michelle brings a fresh perspective to the table helping to drive the business side of the adventure. On the performing side, Michelle has been in numerous theatre performances starting at the age of 4, including more recently, Ottawa productions of Mamma Mia and The Rocky Horror Show. She was the shining face of Rose-Marie in the smashingly successful first year of Oh Canada Eh? Ottawa!
